Session Description

This session shares a new transfer advising model designed to improve student success and retention through increased awareness. Designed to provide “one-stop shopping” to prospective students, office objectives include: transfer student recruitment, academic advising, admissions, financial aid, scholarship information, and promotion of the newly revised Dual Admission Program, allowing first time freshmen the opportunity to receive dual advisement and guaranteed transferability of coursework

Brief Bio

Matt Harrison serves as Transfer Advisor in the Department of Transfer Articulation at East Tennessee State University. Matt has been in higher education since 2012, where he formerly served as temporary Coordinator of Special Events for University Advancement. He will graduate with his MBA from Tennessee Tech University in May 2017.

April Rainbolt is the Coordinator for Transfer Articulation in the School of Continuing Studies & Academic Outreach at East Tennessee State University. She has 13 years of experience in higher education at ETSU and will graduate in 2016 with a Masters of Arts degree in Criminal Justice.
