Abstract
The ethical standards for ASCA and ACA remind school counselors of the importance of self-care and the monitoring of impairment in oneself, in colleagues, and in counselors-in-training. This session focuses on the ethics surrounding burnout and impairment and offers through case study examples ways to respond to impairment personally and professionally.
