Abstract

Graduate students are encouraged to attend this session during which we will discuss ways they can practice advocacy skills at their respective universities by promoting the school counseling profession. As graduate students we often have the opportunity to research and discuss the school counselor’s role as an advocate, but we do not necessarily have the opportunity to complete hands-on training. Please join us for a presentation and conversation about how to begin practicing advocacy skills as a graduate student.
