One of the big challenges facing academic libraries today is to increase the relevance of the libraries to their user communities.  If the libraries can increase the visibility of their resources on the open web, it will increase the chances of the libraries to reach to their user communities close to the capacity of a search engine like Google.  BIBFRAME and library linked data enable the libraries to publish their resources in a way that Web understands, consume linked data to enrich their resources relevant to the libraries’ user communities and visualize networks across collections.  This presentation will look into how to map library bibliographic data from MARC format to BIBFRAME 2.0 model and vocabulary published in April 2016, available from https://www.loc.gov/bibframe/docs/bibframe2-model.htm so as to make bibliographic information more useful within and beyond library communities in collaboration with Library of Congress, Zepheira, OCLC, Ex Libris 2017 Linked Data Collaboration Program, IGELU-ELUNA-LOD, and others.
