President
Dr. Ginger Phillips has directed over 500 association/government type meetings. She holds the CMM as well as an earned doctorate in education program planning. She is the president of her association management company, Arden Solutions, specializing in helping small, professional societies find good solutions to their management challenges and conference needs.
We propose to bring a new tool to our colleagues that is represented by both a user and the company owner. I have conducted several Call-Fors, and am now helping clients who have used the tool to refine their calls to be easier from the submitters' perspective to use and more accurate in gathering information that the association needs for their meetings. Though not an expert in this software, I see it from the meeting planner's perspective. Over my professional life, I have probably conducted or directed over 100 Calls-for-Proposals and manged the review teams. Excel spreadsheets and email are the low-cost alternative, albeit very time-intensive, with worry about losing a proposal during the process. Meeting planners who conduct Call-For-Proposals will have to re:Think the approach a bit, but I can present the pros, cons, tricks, and implementation to save them time as they re:consider their approach to this process. Additionally, the person who answers questions and provides technical expertise will be there to co-present.
