Session Abstract
For many, poetry is an esoteric pursuit, but it can offer the opportunity to bring real literature to students with limited English and/or literacy skills. This presentation will look at classroom-tested exercises for writing poetry as well as scaffolding that will make classic poems accessible to beginning and intermediate students.
