Summon

Session Description

This is a general discussion session on how Summon operates within an academic library's campus.  As we increase our service roles both as customer and vendor, how are we assessing and meeting the needs of our Summon users?  Student success is critical, as is faculty assurance of quality teaching and research. The administration wants to know what it is paying for.  As libraries partner with academic and administrative support units across campus, how does Summon factor into these engagements?  Participants will be encouraged to bring all Summon-related ideas to share with the group in a guided conversation on admin, public, tech, and system services perspectives.  We know linked data, OER, and analytics are trending.  What else is over the horizon?   We will review the resources available at the new website and explore Summon more as an integrative service than as an isolated product.
