This presentation will explain how Northeastern University customized resource type facets in Primo for audio, video, and e-book items. This customization provided extra granularity which allowed patrons to easily distinguish between physical and digital item types.
The presentation will provide step-by-step examples of the normalization rules and table editing required. These examples will be explained for a non-technical audience and for Primo back-office users new to table editing and normalization rule creation. The facet examples can be easily applied to the creation of other customized facets. In addition, the presentation will discuss best practices and challenges encountered.
