Session Abstract

Instructors are often concerned when students are quiet - especially during activities and class discussions. This session will present insights from students, discuss cultural challenges and expectations, and also provide practical strategies to increase participation, improve the classroom atmosphere, and support ESL students by decreasing their anxiety about speaking in class.
