When you look up your name, use the detail listing to check what days/times you asked to be placed. This is a huge program and we can accommodate necessary changes in day and time now, but may not be able to do so after September 1, 2013 except in emergencies. ETS High School Equivalency Testing (HiSET) Program

Session Abstract
ETS and ITP are developing a high school equivalency testing (HiSET) program. The assessment is an alternative to the GED. This session will provide information about the ETS HiSET Program.

Learning Outcomes
The session objectives are:
? Participants will gain understanding of the ETS HiSET and the collaboration with stakeholders.
? Participants will receive the most recent information about the ETS HiSET including a demo of the recently launched informational website for states, test administrators, employers, and test takers.
? Participants will have an opportunity to participate in a question and answer session with the ETS Director’s working on HiSET.
Session Description
Attendees will learn about the ETS HiSET assessment and the collaborative effort of many states and non-profit organizations working to deliver a fair and reliable high school equivalency assessment to the nation. The ETS HiSET test, which will launch in January 2014, will be compatible with current professional development materials used for high school equivalency assessment and will cover five core areas:
? Language Arts–Reading
? Language Arts–Writing
? Mathematics
? Science
? Social Studies
ETS is working with the states and other non-profit stakeholders to meet the needs of the high school equivalency test taker. The ETS HiSET will be available in paper-based and computer-based leaving the testing format option as a test taker decision. The costing will remain low ($50) and the current test centers can be used.
Efforts are made to try to schedule sessions on the day preferred by the Primary Presenter, though this cannot be guaranteed. Please check your preference.
