Abstract

The proposed presentation panel will provide results of the on-going project entitled Managing Groundwater Resources in Zamboanga City and Surroundig Areas. The project funded by the Philippine National Water Resources Board and the Department of Science and Technology identifies areas within the study site that are vulnerable to water pollution and other issues such as land use, salt water intrusion and climate change while presenting the results of a 3-D model to quantify groundwater resources within the study site. The results of the modified vulnerability assessment and the 3D modeling are used for come-up with a management plan. Lessons learned and replicability of the project are also discussed.
