Abstract

The presentation explains the causal connection between unconscious bias and every decision in the hiring process from who we recruit, hire, promote, develop and terminate. Dr. Daniel Kahneman’s research regarding primordial instincts is used as the scientific basis for connecting employment decisions to unconscious bias. At the conclusion of the presentation the participant will have a greater awareness of the role basic instincts play in everyday decisions.
