Workshop Description

Schools are responding to individual students' transitions as they happen. Is there a more proactive approach? What are the considerations for conversations with children, teenagers, parents, and administration as well as engaging community beyond the school system? Session presenters are representatives from districts and organizations who have worked proactively to support trans students while respectfully engaging school communities to address concerns, questions, and specific considerations. They will share their district process and community engagement strategies for creating inclusive environments for all students.
