Abstract
Managing change is something libraries contend with everyday… and many struggle with. This presentation will discuss lessons learned from first-hand experience observing a system migration involving a consortium of 23 colleges and universities in Indiana, managing an Aleph-to-Alma migration for a reluctant consortium in South Dakota, and currently assessing and preparing for system migration at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg. Key points include existing system assessment, analysing existing workflows, adapting to new workflows in a new system, and maintaining effective channels of communication. Tools used to accomplish these tasks will be discussed.
