Use of Analytics Throughout the Library
Conference or Developers Day
Conference
Abstract
One of Ex Libris’ goals for Alma and Primo Analytics is to have them used to make decisions and improve workflows. UNSW Library has been using Analytics for four years. This presentation will be an overview of how Analytics can be used within the Library. It will review the various ways that reports can be presented through tables and graphs and communicated via scheduled reports, dashboards, widgets and briefing books and the strengths and weaknesses of each. It will also review the purposes to which reports can been put, whether they are for daily workflows, collection analysis, management reporting or decision-making. Examples from UNSW Library will be used to illustrate. It will be an opportunity for Alma and Primo libraries to take a more holistic view of their use of Analytics, to think about whether they are using Analytics in the most efficient ways possible and whether there can be more ways for them to use Analytics.
