Leganto at Macquarie University: impressions, adjustments, improvements
Conference or Developers Day
Conference
Abstract
Leganto has been piloted in evolving stages at Macquarie University since mid-2017. This presentation will discuss the stages of our pilot project, the milestones reached and the lessons learnt. I will reflect on three main topics: impressions, adjustments and improvements. Impressions will cover the feedback gathered from unit convenors, students, and library staff. Adjustments will address the new workflows for library staff -- including the storage of digital copyright materials in Alma and the ongoing monitoring of reading lists -- as well as changes to the support model provided to unit convenors. Changes in student access to reading list materials will also be discussed. When discussing improvements, I will focus on the engagement with reading list creation and use. To finish, I will outline the next steps and future goals of our pilot project and the challenges we expect to face.
