Session Abstract
This interactive discussion of bias toward adult learners in higher education is framed by practitioner findings from a year-long dual-site phenomenographic study. We will examine how we talk about our students and brainstorm ways to identify and challenge often hidden instantiations of deficit ideologies in our practice and our institutions.
