The Bodleian Libraries have now released the new PRIMO user interface for their resource discovery tool SOLO. The project was an opportunity to look at how to rationalise and better implement customisations but also an opportunity to create a 'design language' that would bring a consistency of user experience to all of the Bodleian resource discovery tools. This presentation will take you through the journey from the results of our extensive user testing, working with design agencies, implementing the new UI in Primo and finally dealing with the feedback and presenting analytics from our BETA release phase. A number of key themes have emerged that will require further work and will no doubt prompt some interesting discussion in the room.
