Hormones 201: More Than Testosterone or Estrogen

Friday, August 10, 2018 at 3:00 PM–4:20 PM PDT
Rm 603
Workshop Description

Physical gender transition is different for every individual, which necessitates creating tailored medical plans for each and every patient. Medical guidelines often provide little guidance on the wide range of doses and delivery mechanisms of hormones. This workshop will present information about the different safe and effective strategies practiced at our Center for Transyouth Health and Development. We will also discuss the potential benefits of low dose hormone use in combination with blockers and adjusting dosing to accommodate medical concerns and patient needs, as well as available types of testosterone and estrogen. Finally, we will have an interactive discussion with other professionals in the audience to learn new approaches that are used in other clinics.
