Heading to the Bank...Prior to Starting HRT!

Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 10:10 AM–11:40 AM PDT
Rm 604
Workshop Description

California Cryobank is a reproductive tissue bank that has been around for 40 years and has helped thousands of clients preserve their fertility. We welcome everyone regardless of gender identity, gender presentation, or sexual orientation. For individuals transitioning from male to female, this workshop will provide a behind the scenes look at the process of sperm banking and cryopreservation. On the proposed panel, we will have a client coordinator present, as well as a lab director who can explain the science behind the process. The client coordinator will discuss what a consultation is like, go over the associated paper work, and address any emotional components that may arise during the consult. We understand that for some people this process is not easy, and we want to lend support wherever necessary. It is important for people to know that they can be their authentic self and have biological children prior to starting hormone replacement therapy.
