Transgender History
Workshop Description
Want to know more about transgender people throughout history? Come learn about the history of the transgender rights movement and how it has, at various times, worked in sync with and distinct from the LGB-rights movement; transgender pioneers throughout different times and cultures; and how this has gotten us to where we are today and where we are going in the future. This will be an interactive history lesson with plenty of opportunities for participants to share what they know and ask questions about the things they don’t. Our history is wide and diverse; emphasis will be placed on the areas in which participants are most interested and excited.
