Session Description

Post-traditional graduate students comprise almost 80% of the graduate market. Attendees will review data from a 2018 national survey profiling these students’ demands and preferences. Discussion will focus on how findings can be applied to marketing, outreach, and program development efforts, in order to ensure institutions are connecting effectively with graduate students.

Brief Bio

Carol B. Aslanian is founder and president of Aslanian Market Research. She is a national authority on the characteristics and learning patterns of adult and post-traditional undergraduate and graduate students. She has made hundreds of presentations and has authored numerous articles and reports on the topic. For more than 20 years, she worked at the College Board in support of adult learning services. Ms. Aslanian has led market research projects for more than 300 colleges, universities, and educational agencies.

Brief Bio:

Scott Jeffe is Senior Director of Aslanian Market Research, and has been Carol Aslanian’s research partner for 21 years. He is responsible for the management of AMR’s institutional market research studies, professional development seminars, and national research projects on adult, post-traditional, and online students learning patterns. He has managed research projects for more than 125 colleges and universities and organized more than 40 professional development programs.
