Smooth Sailing: Enhancing Drexel University’s Ed.D. student success with responsive innovations

Session Description

This session will engage attendees and discuss the structure, recruitment, and retention strategies of Drexel University’s Ed.D. part-time program. Understanding the needs of part-time, online and hybrid adult learners is critical in program development to support student success. Discussion will focus on continual program innovation and various ways the department has implemented creative practices, as well as the process of developing and launching new initiatives. In addition, attendees will engage with each other to share their best practices and collaboratively problem solve challenges faced by their institutions to foster an environment of discussion and networking.

Brief Bio

Tina Marie Coolidge currently serves as a Program Manager II at the School of Education, Drexel University. Tina Marie has almost a decade of experience working in higher education with adult learners. Tina Marie has Master’s degrees in Higher Education and Human Resource Development and is currently writing her dissertation in pursuit of an Educational Doctorate degree. In addition, Tina Marie serves in a leadership role in ACHE as a member of the Board of Directors.

Andrea Shaw currently serves as an Academic Advisor at the School of Education, Drexel University. Andrea has over a decade of experience working in higher education with adult learners. Andrea has a Master’s degree in Higher Education. In addition, Andrea is currently pursuing her Educational Doctorate degree.
