2013 Annual Conference

November 5–8, 2013

Lexington, KY

It is time to review the schedule for the placement of your session in the AAACE Agenda. This is the final draft of the Schedule. When you look up your name, use the detail listing to check what days/times you asked to be placed. This is a huge program and we can accommodate necessary changes in day and time now, but may not be able to do so after September 1, 2013 except in emergencies. Please carefully check your placement and send any requests to Ginger Phillips, AAACE Conference Planner with AAACE Session Change Request in the subject line. We will respond to your email, but it may take us up to a week to do so. Thanks for your help in "fine tuning" this agenda!

Session Description

Yes, we know that quality matters, but maybe not as it relates to online courses! Quality Matters (QM) is a nationally recognized, faculty-centered, peer review process designed to certify the quality of online courses and components. Colleges and universities across the country use the tools to develop, maintain and review online courses, and train faculty. Started by a consortium of colleges and universities; standards supported by best practices and research literature; over 23,000 faculty and instructional design staff trained in QM.*

Presented by a faculty peer-reviewer and an administrative peer-reviewer from a 100% online university, this session will provide attendees with an overview of QM standards, auditing rubric, and peer-review process for certifying the quality of online courses.* The importance and timeliness of QM cannot be overstated. As more adults engage in online learning, it is critical that courses meet or exceed quality standards.
