Workshop Description

Along with ensuring that transitioning employees are validated and respected, maintaining an inclusive workplace also means making sure coworkers are supported in the process as well. This session for employers, managers, and human resources staff will provide suggestions, examples, and tools for developing a proactive, flexible plan for your P&P manual that answers many questions ahead of time.

Denise Diskin
Presenter Bio

Attorney Denise Diskin’s practice is focused on helping individuals facing workplace discrimination and harassment, going through a divorce with custody and property matters, or seeking adoption. She frequently represents LGBTQ clients and survivors of sex- or gender-based harassment and domestic violence. Denise has a particular interest in furthering the rights of LGBT individuals in the workplace. Denise was named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers four years in a row. A frequent speaker on employment discrimination and LGBTQ access to the legal system, she has given presentations to the Washington State Bar Association, Washington State Human Rights Commission and many other organizations.

Jamison Green
Presenter Bio

Jamison Green (PhD - Equalities Law) is an author, educator, public speaker, and independent legal scholar. He is also a consulting expert in transgender health and employment discrimination litigation; diversity trainer and policy consultant for business, educational, and governmental institutions; former corporate publications director; and award-winning global trans activist. He is the immediate past-president of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), and author of Becoming a Visible Man. He also identifies as a competitive skier, construction cable splicer, voice actor, singer, and Afro-Brazilian percussionist.
