LGBTBE Certification Workshop
Workshop Description
Businesses that are 51% or more owned by an LGBT person are eligible to become LGBTBE certified through the NGLCC. This certification provides access to corporations and municipalities who include LGBTBEs in their diverse supply chain and have money set aside to spend on local minority-owned businesses.
This workshops explains how to get certified; how to position yourself with a business capability statement in front of supplier diversity teams; and what next steps to take after completing the certification process.

Presenter Bio
Ilona Lohrey immigrated to Seattle from Munich, Germany. She has a degree in business management and economics and worked in the financial sector for 13 years, lastly as a business banking manager in the Seattle metro area. Ilona comes from a family of hardworking entrepreneurs and has a passion for small business owners and hearing their stories. Her love for the nonprofit world and entrepreneurs has brought her to GSBA where she is director of membership, outreach, and engagement, and enjoys working with small business owners every day.
