Workshop Description
In this session discussing MTF gender-affirming surgery, Dr. Wittenberg will walk women through preoperative requirements, the steps of the surgery, postoperative recovery, possible complications in recovery, and how to treat and follow up on these if they occur.

Heidi Wittenberg, MD, FPMRS
Presenter Bio
Heidi Wittenberg, MD, obtained her bachelor's degree in genetics at the University of California, Berkeley, a master's degree in applied physiology, and graduated from the Chicago Medical School. She completed her residency at Johns Hopkins. She is board certified in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery and further studied gender-affirmation surgery.
