We Need To Talk: Transmasculine Top Surgery and Uncommonly Discussed Post-operative Hurdles

Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 3:00 PM–4:20 PM PDT
Rm 616
Workshop Description

It's time that we begin having the hard conversations around transmasculine top surgery and some post-operative "hurdles" that can arise. Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Scott Mosser of the Gender Confirmation Center of San Francisco will talk with the audience about what post-operative depression can look like, the "Post-mastectomy Pain Syndrome," and revisions, in addition to other challenging subjects uncommonly discussed. Dr. Mosser will also be sharing anonymous case studies in hopes of providing validation to the trans and gender-expansive community in addition to creating a cohesive platform for all voices and identities.
