Strong two-way immersion programs welcome all families, foster collaborative relationships between them, and value each family's contributions to student learning. However, interactions between families in dual language can sometimes look like "oil and water." (Muro, 2016). Come discuss the challenges and successes that two-way immersion programs experience as they work to bring together families of diverse languages, cultures, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds in a range of school and community contexts.
