Program Summary/Abstract Description

North Carolina hosts a variety of additive DL/I programs: Developmental, Full and Partial Immersion, and Two-Way. Programs are offered in 7 different languages, span K-12 and offer various time in program. The session will explore the value and challenges of each model, as well as innovative support options that address academic, behavior, and social-emotional support structures such as Professional Development offerings, Multi-tiered System of Support application and more,  that participants may incorporate in their own environment.
