Program Summary/Abstract Description
As the rapidly growing demands of a global economy become apparent, communities are turning to the promises of dual language immersion programs, to meet the academic rigor, linguistic flexibility and intercultural competencies needed to prepare a competitive 21st Century global workforce.
This session will address the foundational pillars of DLI programs and the infrastructures of support needed to ensure program quality and sustainability. The Utah DLI Program will be used to illustrate these foundational pillars and infrastructures.
Through guided analysis and group discussions, the participant will be able to identify the replicability of these foundational pillars and infrastructures of support in their diverse contexts.
