Program Summary/Abstract Description

Elementary school (K-2) Teachers of the  Dual Language program will present best teaching practices in the development of biliterate education. The presentation will include a strong literacy framework and resources to use in the aid and development of a strong 50/50 model of instruction. The Literacy Collaborative Project is the pillar of instruction that has been the driving force of our Dual Language program. Teachers will be able to explore strategies and professional resources to aid in their instruction of English and Spanish. Our school has been practicing such key ideas for the past 27 years in our Dual Language Program, grades K-5 and now expanding in the UPK classrooms.
