It has been fifteen years since the original Guiding Principles document was published and a lot has changed! This session provides an overview of the 3rd edition of Guiding Principles document with an emphasis on how to utilize this "standards document" to engage your school community in evaluating your DLE Program, and how to action plan to improve.  Utilized by school communities and their LEAs across the United States, this essential document is an on-going collaboration between the Center for Applied Linguistics and Dual Language Education of New Mexico.  Free download of the document can be found at: www.cal.org/resource-center/publications/guiding-principles-3
