Key Words
emergecy fund, health, investing, saving
Short Description
Consumer and family economic well-being are central to the mission of the American Council on Consumer Interests (American Council on Consumer Interests, n.d.). Previous research has noted a relationship between physical health and consumer and family economic well-being (O’Neill, Xiao, & Ensle, 2016a). This study extends previous studies of associations between health and financial practices by exploring relationships between consumers’ saving, investing, and emergency savings practices and their physical health behaviors.
