Program Summary/Abstract Description
Dual language and immersion (DLI) teaching requires particular knowledge and pedagogical skills, yet DLI-specific teacher programs are scarce. DLI specific, M.Ed. Program Coordinator will describe a new teacher education program serving practicing (yet unlicensed) DLI teachers and others new to the profession. Instructor, Clinical Supervisor and a Teacher-graduate will share successes and challenges to weaving in language-focus into curriculum and instruction.
