2019 Annual Meeting

The librarians at Southern Adventist University's McKee Library needed a way to highlight the materials in their special collections and displays.  Additionally, we lost our old New Books webpage functionality after migrating to Alma, and needed a replacement. These new pages had to be visually appealing and easy to navigate. Using the Alma/Primo Collections functionality proved to be the solution. In this presentation, the librarians will discuss the process we went through to set up Collections in Alma, build itemized sets to be included, and how we made these Collections discoverable in Primo and on our library website.  We will also discuss the issues we faced in implementation, how Ex Libris addressed our concerns, and our future plans for this tool.
