It’s Complicated!: Using Print- and Electronic-Holdings to Deduplicate Print Serials
vendredi 3 mai 2019 à 14:30–15:15 EDT
Room 206/207
Session Abstract
The University of Minnesota Libraries has been working on a print serial deduplication project to free up shelf space. Serials were deduped and removed from the shelves by comparing print-to-print and print-to-electronic holdings. Attendees will learn about our motivations, expected outcomes, and how we used Alma and people power to achieve our goals. The speakers will focus on the process, especially the deduplication criteria applied, how data was collected and manipulated to meet our needs, challenges and next steps.
