It is time to review the schedule for the placement of your session in the AAACE Agenda. This is the final draft of the Schedule. When you look up your name, use the detail listing to check what days/times you asked to be placed. This is a huge program and we can accommodate necessary changes in day and time now, but may not be able to do so after September 1, 2013 except in emergencies. Please carefully check your placement and send any requests to Ginger Phillips, AAACE Conference Planner with AAACE Session Change Request in the subject line. We will respond to your email, but it may take us up to a week to do so. Thanks for your help in "fine tuning" this agenda!
Workshop (60-75 minutes)
Collaborative Leadership will help participants develop and sustain partnerships because it provides a way for diverse groups to come together and address common problems in a continuous learning environment.
This workshop is designed for Individuals who are in leadership positions that necessitate building and sustaining partnerships; who want to gain input from multiple stakeholders for strategic planning; or, who simply want to increase their ability to build consensus for better group decision-making.
Learners will:
•Understand the concepts behind Collaborative Leadership
•Identify key principles undergirding Collaborative Leadership
•Gain confidence in facilitating dialogue that promotes collaboration
•Practice skills that facilitate Collaborative Leadership
If you’ve been involved in developing and sustaining partnerships, you know how challenging these leadership roles can be. This interactive session is designed for participants to understand and practice concepts intrinsic to Collaborative Leadership, a leadership style which is a natural fit for building partnerships, as it provides avenues for bringing together a diverse group of people to address complex problems across departmental and organizational lines. Participants will understand the value of genuine dialogue as part of the process for collaboration, and will learn how to create a setting where dialogue can take place. Attendees will have opportunity to experience and practice some of the processes needed for collaborative leadership, and identify resources for further growth. The goal of this workshop is for participants to gain confidence and skill in their ability to lead collaboratively.
