E2 - Using Growth Mindset to Maximize Success and Reduce Stress
Session Description
Reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are not enough to prepare today’s students for life-long success. Students must also have a mindset which motivates them to overcome the rigors of college admissions, the pressures of social media, and the burdens of overstuffed schedules. Luckily, like the three Rs, mindset is a skill that can be developed with time, effort, and training. In this session, we will discuss the research of Dr. Carol Dweck, author of Mindset: The New Psychology of Success, and how Growth Mindset is an essential component of student success.
