Session Description

Everyone here knows that life in admissions is rewarding, but also challenging, multi-faceted, and taxing. In this session, we hope to share tips and tricks we have picked up in our years as admission professionals to make your lives easier. From office efficiency to traveling better and smarter, come learn how to work smarter, not harder, and improve your day-to-day lives as recruiters and admission professionals!

Brief biographical sketch, to include educational background

Nick is currently the Special Assistant to the Vice President for Enrollment Management at University of Maryland, College Park. Since starting at UMD in 2013, he has held multiple positions in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions; most recently, Nick oversaw admission into the university's competitive major programs. Nick also has previously presented at PCACAC conferences, and served on Summer Institute Faculty in the summer of 2018 and will serve again in the summer of 2019. Nick holds a Bachelor's degree from UMD in Government and Politics, and will complete his Master's degree in Teaching, Learning, Policy, and Leadership (focus on Education Policy Studies) from UMD in May 2019.

Mr. Christopher Wild, Goucher College
Brief biographical sketch, to include educational background

Christopher Wild is associate director of admissions at Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland, where he is responsible for student recruitment and management of the constituent relationship manager. Christopher holds bachelors degrees in philosophy and business from Mount St. Mary's University (Emmitsburg, MD). He wrote his honors thesis on using new technologies in admissions marketing outreach. An admissions professional since 2012, Christopher serves as a college-side board director for the non-profit organization, Colleges that Change Lives, Inc.
