Program Summary
Presenter reports on a school-university partnership collaborating to initiate a pre-service dual language immersion teacher (PDLIT) preparation program. A study is underway to document skills, knowledge, and dispositions needed for effective PDLIT training. Participants comprise pre-service teachers, DLI mentor teachers, and administrators. Data includes surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions.
