Program Summary

This study examines the enactment of novice teachers’ developing professional identity within social interaction. We explore how morality—e.g., what it means to be a “good” teacher—is at stake for novice teachers within post-observation meetings. We offer implications for mentoring/supervisory practice, as well as language teacher education more broadly.
