Program Summary
This paper analyzes teaching philosophy statements (TPS) written by pre-service English teachers. In addition to revealing the beliefs and goals of pre-service teachers, TPSs have the potential to help them self-reflect, develop a critical approach to teaching methods, and discover their strengths as a prospective English teacher.
