Workshop Description
This workshop will focus on key issues related to transitioning at work, including assessing current psychological, medical, legal and financial aspects, as well as how to communicate intention to transition, broader communications to coworkers and customers, best practices for supportive organizations, and how to recognize and address discrimination. Presenter will also take questions from attendees.

Presenter Bio
Dana Pizzuti is a physician and SVP of Regulatory Affairs, Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance at Rigel Pharmaceuticals in South San Francisco, California. She received her MD and postgraduate medical training from NYU Medical Center and Montefiore Medical Center in New York, and has been a pharmaceutical industry executive for over 30 years. She successfully transitioned at work in 2015 and is a recognized transgender advocate and a representative for LGBTQ+ workplace equality. Her first book, Transitioning in the Workplace: A Guidebook, was published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers (a division of Hachette) in August. She lives outside of San Francisco.
