Considering Transition As An Intervention, Not a Decision
Workshop Description
If your child had a medical condition, and a doctor recommended an intervention that could make their lives better, or potentially save your child’s life, would you put the decision on the child? Would you present the options to your child but then warn them to consider the financial implications, social implications, family implications, future implications on said intervention? Not likely! Instead of thinking of gender transition to reflect authentic gender identity as a “decision”, let’s start thinking of it as an intervention and see how the story changes. Come be empowered to take actions when it comes to your child, in order to reduce distress and encourage authentic living!
