Workshop Description

This presentation will discuss the most common surgical options and procedures available for trans males. Our multidisciplinary team will discuss top surgery, phalloplasty, metoidioplasty and other procedures available. We will focus on the individualized and multidisciplinary approach to the the treatment of dysphoria.

Presenter Bio

Dr. Rodriguez is a Board certified plastic surgeon practicing at Brownstein and Crane in San Francisco. She is dedicated full time to the care of the transgender community. Dr. Rodriguez completed her internship residency in surgery as well as Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. She elected to pursue an additional subspecialty fellowship in craniofacial surgery at Stanford University. She spent two years at Harvard University as a research fellow. She has extensive experience in chest reconstruction in the adult and pediatric population.

Presenter Bio

Michael H. Safir, M.D. is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Safir completed his urology residency at Northwestern University. He was selected to complete two separate year-long fellowships in Male (UCSF) and Female (UCLA) Genito-urinary Reconstructive Surgery. He is one of a handful of urologists in the world with individual fellowship training and experience in both male and female genital reconstruction. He has performed approximately 200 trangender operations.
