This presentation challenges educators across Massachusetts to consider how the state meets the needs of emergent bilingual learners. We invite participants to reflect on the land-breaking Castaňeda decision, examine its relationship to teacher preparedness, and to critically examine if Massachusetts is adequately preparing teachers to teach bilingual learners.
