It is very important that physician's offices are visibly affirming to the LGB and Transgender communities so that all patients feel welcome. However, many offices think that they are affirming when, in fact, they have much work to do. Quite often practitioners say that they want to be supportive of their transgender patients, but they don't know what that actually looks like. This workshop will be a presentation of how to make your office an affirming space as well as a discussion among attendees about what they are doing in their particular practices.
