STEM students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels have specific needs in both writing and speaking: extended definitions, process descriptions, problem-solution structures, and data commentaries, among others. Here are ten tips gleaned from teaching MIT ESOL students that can help STEM ESOL students learn with maximum efficiency.
