Guided Inquiry into Topics in American Culture
Session Abstract
In the middle and high school ESL classrooms at JQUS we employ a strategy called "guided inquiry". The whole class reads a basic non-fiction text which introduces a topic, and after that base of knowledge is established, students embark on independent reading to pursue their own interests.
